This Christmas Grammy decided that it would be a good idea to make sure that the birds had a few treats to eat, so she and Pawpaw gathered the boys from school and took them to pick out a small tree that would work well for the backyard.
Grammy picked up Landon, and Pawpaw picked up Maddox. When they got to the store it didn't take long and they had picked out the perfect tree, loaded it up and headed home where they set it up and cut off the netting.
Pawpaw left the decorating to Grammy and the boys and they went to work making sure that peanut butter and birdseed were spread on lots of pinecones and little houses. Cheese squares also made their way to the tree. (Lucy, the dog, REALLY liked that idea!)
The "ornaments" were then tied to the tree with strings of colored yarn and it was taken to the yard where the birds could find it.
So happy to have been able to capture this new tradition with photos to cherish. Whether you take them with your phone or your camera or have someone take them for you...document your traditions with photographs!
"What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that's gone forever, impossible to reproduce." - Karl Lagerfeld
